Last year whilst travelling through America, (we are Aussies) we came across an estate sale, I bought a hand stitched table cloth really big size, I have now quilted it and turned it into a bed quilt. It's just beautiful, and I only paid $40 or it, I believe it's around 50 years old, who would have believed t would travel all those air miles and end up in Australia.

What a great find!!!!!!!! Wish we could all be that lucky,--just at the right place at the right time. I went to a garage sale last year ad found three large notebooks called Spinning Spools for Quilters --quilting patterns are on plastic templates with step by step instructions for each quilt and each is pictured in color, none of the templates have ever been used, got all this for $1.00 -- must have been from a quilting club.
