Love your cat quilt and the black really makes the cats pop.

Your top turned out great. I love black background quilts so much so that I will put up with the eye strain to do them because they just look so good, especially with bright colors. I find quilting on black with black thread is more difficult than piecing black to black.

Some black print fabrics (blacks with dark grays mixed in but still read black) are easier to work with than solid black.

You have such a good memory! My quilt inspector, Hot Rod, has pretty much been involved every step of the way. Here is he helping me quilt...
