Jelly roll style quilt with "modern" quilting.

I finished this one last week. I decided to try "modern" style quilting. You can laugh...I used polyester batting, so it should be fine even though there are large unquilted areas. :)
I was being a bit facetious when I did this, because some of the modern quilt tops look so "awful" to me--like things just thrown together-- But in the end, it's okay...I don't mind the look of this and it was definitely "different". Different style of quilting but I like the look.

Your quilt is very nice! #98 !!!!! Woooooooahhhh!
|
I really like it!

Your use of shorter strips of the jelly roll and the "wonky" quilting really give nice interest to your quilt. Good job!

I like the quilting--it adds interest to the jelly roll quilt--as wildly different as the fabrics can be in a JRQ, to me, they all look more alike than different--the quilting makes this one stand out from the crowd! Nice work.

I like the quilting - I may use this style for some small jelly roll baby quilts that I give to charity.
