Love your version! Thank you for sharing your progress, its been fun following along. I am not an expert at making PP patterns but I sometimes use this method when there are a lot of strangely shaped triangles. I have Electric Quilt 5 so I use it for this purpose but you can also use graph paper. Rhonda has generously donated her time to tutor us on the use of the EQ so maybe she will touch on this technique.

To Ms Peggybluebird : For some one without a pattern and then recreating it you have earned the title of "master" paper piecer in my book. Your draft is almost identical to the one in the magazine. Beautiful little tree.
