Hi Quilters,
My friend's 2 nieces just had babies about a week apart. She asked me to find some jungle fabric and whip up a few baby quilts before the births, so I started shopping for fabric in late March about 9 weeks before the kids were due. This fabric is called Jolly Jungle and the little animals are so cute. Getting the right fabric was a real chore. I ordered 5 times from 3 different internet sites before getting the right fabric--and then they were out of the 10 inch panels I wanted. :( All in all it took over 7 weeks to get the fabrics which left me only a week and a half to get the quilts done. Whew, now I can relax. Mary |
These are sooooooo cute. What a wonderful treasure for those brand new babies. Nice job. Thank you for sharing.

I love the way you used the Jolly Jungle panels. I am excitedly awaiting the birth of my first grandchild in August. The theme of the baby's room is baby jungle animals. I found the panel with the 10" prints at a quilt shop in Trenton, FL and the panel with the small animal faces in Paducah, KY. Here is a photo of the quilt I designed on EQ7 using those fabrics. The blocks in the outer corners are made from the border of the big panel that you used.

Those are soooo cute!

Those are cute. I had the same problem finding an animal print for my oldest daughter. All those extra animal prints make up very well in the Warm Wishes pattern and are fairly quick and easy. So I had some fabrics on hand for baby quilts when I needed them.
|
Very, very pretty and unique quilts!
|
Very, very cute
