Darling little quilts. Must feel like being let out of school for the summer, doesn't it?

I love both mini quilts. My favorite is the kites. They look as though they are in flight.

Your quilts are beautiful. I think there is a place for all types of quilts in our lives, I've done mini, king size, twin size, wall quilts and anything in between. It's good to change what we make from time to time.

Lovely little quilts. I enjoy doing those. You get quicker satisfaction.

You did a great job on your mini quilts.

I have two questions:

1-Could you provide a source for mini-quilt patterns?

2-Is there a rule of thumb for reducing the size of a standard block pattern to a mini-quilt block?

1. I know of one, http://www.averyspecialcollection.com/

You could also do a Google search for "miniature quilt patterns".

2. Not that I know of, other than make sure your seam allowances are accurate if you reduce using a photocopier.

Sometimes, depending on the quilt, I'll use a 1/8" seam instead of a 1/4" seam allowance, or often times I'll trim the seam allowance to 1/8" after sewing.

I also usually paper-piece minis, since it's very accurate.

THey are just to cute. The kites remind me of the ones we made as kids.
