That is breath taking.

I used just normal Warm and Natural for the batting. Nothing "puffy"

Inny, which of her books did you use? your wall hanging is awesome!!!i think i'd like to try one, molly [email protected]

I used Judy Mathieson's Mariner's Compass Quilts ... Setting a New Course". Page 30 was my inspiration. The inner circle was taken from the pattern sheet at the back of the book (it was the one for page 84 ... top left side of the page... Pattern 11). The remainder of the pattern was Pattern #9 18-Point Cartwheel Costa Rica Star (30" diameter on page 80. The quilting was done simular to the quilting in the picture on page 80. The borders where just 1 3/8" half square triangles (one turned one way and the other turned the otherway). The final measurement of the wall hanging is 44" square..

Thank you for the compliment. I combined a couple of patterns from Judy Mathieson "Mariner's Compas Setting a New Course Quilts". Page 30 was my inspiration. I used the 18 Point Cartwhell Costa Rica Star (Pattern #9) on page 80. Then for the very center I used only the round center circle of the 16 Point Oval star with the round center on page 83 (pattern 11). For the Flying Geese I used (in the back of the book .... where the tear out patterns are located) the Flying Geese Option for Pattern #9). The outside borders are just HST rotated in different directions. There was no pattern for that ... I just tried "fudging" until I got the right size HST. Hope this helps .... Good luck
