I used just normal Warm and Natural for the batting. Nothing "puffy"

I used Judy Mathieson's Mariner's Compass Quilts ... Setting a New Course". Page 30 was my inspiration. The inner circle was taken from the pattern sheet at the back of the book (it was the one for page 84 ... top left side of the page... Pattern 11). The remainder of the pattern was Pattern #9 18-Point Cartwheel Costa Rica Star (30" diameter on page 80. The quilting was done simular to the quilting in the picture on page 80. The borders where just 1 3/8" half square triangles (one turned one way and the other turned the otherway). The final measurement of the wall hanging is 44" square.. |
