Judy Niemeyer's Golden Harvest quilt finished

This is Judy Niemeyer's pattern, Golden Harvest, paper pieced by me and quilted on my longarm. The quilting stitches didn't show much on the batik, but that was okay since I was trying out some new ruler work. Quilt measures about 54" square. It's the first quilt I've made with a flange, not sure if I like it or not. The flange didn't want to lay down properly when the quilt came out of the dryer, will have to be pressed down.

Gorgeous! I love Judy N's stuff but have never attempted one of her patterns. I just recently broke down and purchased two and they look pretty thorough directions wise. Now to just bite the bullet and dive in on them.

I Love the middle. It looks sort of like a compass rose.

faykilgore 01-17-2013 07:32 AM

That is awesome! Paper piecing just intimidates the stuffing out of me. Seeing your amazing quilt does not help my feeling of intimidation!

Dundster, you've done a great job on a JN pattern. I've got one of her older patterns that I'm acquiring material for now. PP isn't the easiest part of quilting, it just takes time & patience & you definitely have that!

JenDale 01-18-2013 03:49 AM

really really pretty...

A1penny 01-18-2013 04:01 AM
