Do you stuff the cans with batting? Please do a tute!!

waladopa 02-27-2011 06:10 PM

There is already a tute on this site for it: Go to the search button at the top of this page, type in "footstool" and then got down to either 2 days and 7 cans" or "7 cans and 2 days"

waladopa 02-27-2011 06:11 PM

And yes, there is a layer of batting around each can.

How beautiful. Can you post directions on how to make one?

Halo 02-27-2011 10:06 PM

I made these when my kids were little. Many, many years ago. They each had one to set on up to the coffee table to color together. They loved them.

My grandmother made one. She had it as long as I can remember!

suesembroidery 02-28-2011 08:01 PM

I made these out of coffee cans when my children were young to sit on at the dinner table. I had forgotten about these. New grandson to arrive in June. I know what I have to do now.

biscuitqueen 02-28-2011 08:37 PM

this is my first time seeing one, they are really neat. So glad you won.

Busy Bee 03-01-2011 07:14 AM

I remember my mom making those when I was young.

Ruby the Quilter 03-01-2011 06:54 PM

Wow -this brings back memories. My grandmother made a lot of them. We must have drank gallons of the HI-C in the tall cans so she could make them.
