Applique pattern was from an old old magazine, and somehow only part of the page survived in my pattern box. I winged it in putting it together. If I ever do another one, will make the background blocks the same size as the 4-patch ended up. Didn't think this one through before cutting! It's flattter than it looks, looks as if the dog slept on it. LOL

Very cute quilt! Love the colors and the movement of the frogs! They look happy hopping all over the quilt.
I actually love the froggy backgrounds being smaller than the other blocks. The matching little pieces that bring it to size cause more movement to me and I think it looks great. As if all that hopping about disturbed the water and lily pads. :) |

I like the way you did it instead of making the blocks the same size. Give it more to look at. Sometimes mistakes are what makes the quilt better. Love this one.

It is adorable. I'm sure making the blocks the same size would have been much easier for assembly, but I actually like that they are a bit bigger... great job!

This reminds me of a recent commercial asking if they had "frog (fraud) protection" ;) What a darling quilt - it just made my list of the best of January (as if I kept a list - but you get my drift) Love your watery color choices, and your darling froggies.
