just finished purple Nebula quilt...

I thought I posted this about ten minutes, but I must have not done it right. I will pay better attention this time and not push Cancel.
This is my purple Nebula quilt that I just finished. It is a Bargello pattern called Nebula, by Eileen Wright. (In case you have forgotten, a nebula is an exploding star. Her pattern shows a quilt made in oranges and red...beautiful. But I had to make mine in purple. Just had to. Exploding stars can be purple, right??) I really love this quilt and have since I started it. I am, however, very glad that the top is done and I can start sandwiching. It feels like I have been on this quilt for a very long time. :) Thanks for looking. Dina |
Gorgeous! You did a wonderful job. Can't wait to see it after it is quilted.

Beautiful top, great job !

Impressive! Supernova are exploding stars and she also has a quilt called that in her book, actually I thought yours was her pattern "Supernova". A bargello from Eileen's book is on my bucket list.

I made Surf Song from that book as my first Bargello. I got hooked immediately. Her instructions on the wall hanging version of Surf Song are wonderful, perfect for a newbie, which I was at the time. I think this is my 17th Bargello, though 4 of them are mini-quilts, so they may not count. Thanks for making me look up the definition of nebula. :) I should have done that when I started the quilt. :) Dina |
Name doesn't matter to most of us.
It is absolutely gorgeous, whatever it is called. |
"A rose by any other name would smell the same"....Shakespear (maybe. Too many years ago to care). Whatever the name it is eyestoppingly gorgeous. Thanks. Now I'll have to buy another book!! Fell in love with it. Thanks for posting.

Beautiful quilt! I was looking for the book and seems she has two... Twist and Turn Bargello Quilts, and More Twist and Turn Bargello Quilts. Could you clarify which book has this pattern?
