I have just finished the binding on this Quilt:thumbup: Just needs a label and it's on the way to Hyderabad, India!!! All 1930s repro fabrics. Wonky Stars....fine wool batting....quilted by my Long Arm Quilter friend. My DH plays Scrabble on line with an Indian lady...this is for her 2yr old daughter! This is one of my favourite patterns...great to use up some scraps....though they don't seem to diminish!!!!:D

What a beautiful quilt for a little girl (or for most anyone!). You did a great job on it and the quilting is very nice also. She will love it for sure!
|
nicely done

that is adorable. I love 30's fabrics but never did use what I collected. I finally gave all my fabrics away. i'd even made an apple core top but never completed it. The quilter who got all that was thrilled. they do make a nice looking quilt. so crisp!

Lovely quilt! I always laugh when my "non-computer" friends comment on the lack of human contact of being online. Here is an example of the very best human contact. I feel so connected to people all over the world thanks to this site and the old quilt bulletin board that used to be at www.quilt.com . I have a beautiful quilt with friendship blocks sent through that forum over 10 years ago when my dad passed away. They come from Australia, Netherlands, UK and all across US. You are surely a good friend to someone you probably will never meet in person.

Ooops....sorry...my quilt pattern is 'Floating Stars ' by Lynne Edwards....a brilliant British Quilter!! 3 1/2" squares(white/background) 2 1/2" squares scrap star points. 3 1/2 " squares coloured scraps. The sashings are 2 x 2 1/2" x 9 1/2", and 4 x 2 1/2 "x7" for each block.
