Received pattern for this, spiral tablerunner and wedge ruler on
Thursday, bought fabric and cut strips Friday night, started to sew them together, thought I'd try to cut some out, and realised 1. thecolors were in the wrong prder, and 2. I cut the wrong sized strips.
Packed it all away until Sat arvo, then decided it wouldn't get the better of me. So after much frog stitching and real stitching, then cutting, and more stitching, finally got top fnished Sat night.
Spend this morning quilting , and binding, now all I have to do is hand sew the binding down.
Won't be making this again in a hurry, but I am pretty pleased with it.

Lovely! I had to check where you are located, because it is still Saturday here, and I am tired, but I couldn't make sense of your time schedule! Your days are way earlier than ours! Duh! I must have not been paying attention in Geography class.

dreamboat 11-20-2010 06:38 PM

very pretty. I am gonna make a stab at making the spiral table runner right after the first of the year. I may see about getting that butterfly pattern. I saw it on several different sites.

Very nice.

Pegleg 11-21-2010 05:18 AM

I think it was well worth your efforts.
I was thinking that this same pattern could produce a panzy look if the right colors were used. I really love flower and butterfly quilts. Now I have another to put on the to-do list

mollymct 11-21-2010 05:36 AM

absolutely love it and the colors, one of these days, I hope I can make something like that. =)

Ditter43 11-21-2010 07:57 AM

Good job!
I find it's best to jump right back in on a project like you did! The longer you put it off the harder it is to get back to it!
 :D

Sorry, but at first glance I thought it was a Turkey until I realized it had antennae. I guess it would be easy enough to turn it into a Turkey if you wanted.

yetta 11-21-2010 08:17 AM

beautiful..I applaude all of your hard work...I have the same pattern and have been hesitating to try it out.. I have been pulling my hair out trying to make sence out of a bella bella quilt I started....only to find out the directions were incorrect....so when you say the colors were in the wrong order, were the instructions incorrect...I have this fear of instructions being wrong, and thinking I just am toooo dump to understand them...your butterfly came out beautifullllly. yetta

MissQuilter 11-21-2010 08:51 AM

That is the butterfly on the purple book I have... and supposedly you can get the spiral table runner pattern adapting some pattern in that book. I just can not figure out what she was saying! Can you give me a hint on the spiral table runner? I would love to make one, but I own the book and the ruler and do not want to spend more if I do not have to. Thanks!
