Love the throw. How did you get the little corner windmills in?
Good luck tomorrow. You'll do just fine! It will take some recovery but you can do it and it sounds like you have some hand sewing to keep you busy till you can figure how to get at the machine. |
good luck on your surgery

it's beautiful but looks like lots & lots of work. Where did you get the pattern? I could be tempted after seeing yours. Wonderful job!

Lovely! And good luck on your knee surgery. Been there and done that. Have had both knees replaced and I don't even know that they are different than mine. Jan

Hi, I'm up late tonight so thought I'd check in. Surgery was a bit of a surprise with the Doctor having to repair my miniscus as well as reconstruct my ligament. So, recovery is 6 weeks of no weight on that leg whatsoever. What do ya know? I took my first shower today and inspite of the bench in the shower, I managed to loose footing and slipped on my way out and put all my weight on my poor leg three times before I got my balance. The Dr said as long as the stitches are still in place and not bleeding out, they can't do anything until my next appt.
I appreciate all of the very nice well wishes for my recovery as well as great comments on my sons quilt. I can't wait now to get in and sew the sandwich together. We are thinking of rigging something up tomorrow (after I sleep some). I used a yellow flannel material for the backing so he'll be nice and warm when using it. :-D I've already finished all my handsewing projects in record time, lol. On to the next... ((((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))) |
I Am Glad you are ok And that you didn't hurt your self. take care. Be Careful.
|
Please be careful on that new knee!!! So glad you have something to keep yourself busy during your recovery. A co-worker is just back to work after being off for about 6 weeks with a broken kneecap....she was bored to tears as she doesn't have any hobbies!!
I hope your recovery time goes quickly for you. Patti |
I'm glad the surgery is over... It will take a few days and you will get better at keeping your weight off that leg, that is, until it starts getting well. Then you will forget it has been bummed up and do it because you forgot. So glad you didn't hurt yourself, take care and take it slow!

here's hoping 4 a quick recovery! Enjoy your down time!really like that scrappy, the placement is making my eyes go bonkers! it's great!
|
You did a FABULOUS job on your scrappy throw. I love the tiny pin-wheels! Your grandson is a lucky boy.
Good luck with you knee. You are so smart to keep busy instead of obsessing about the surgery. You sound positive, and I suspect that will be good for your recovery. |
By now you are probably doing physical therapy for your knee. Hoepfully everything went well. You're right in letting your knee call the shots...I didn't feel like sewing any thing for about two months following hip surgery in May. It's great you have projects you can do without the machine. Your grandson's quilt is awesome!
Happy recovery! |
I love your idea of using up scraps to make your quilt. I will have to do some thing like that AFTER Christmas and I have more time.
