I asked k3n to do a wallhanging, using a picture of my granddaughter as the "pattern". I absolutely love, love, love what she did. It was going to go to my son & DIL, but I decided it will stay on a livingroom wall at my house.
K, you did a fantastic job, and I am so touched that you were willing to do this for me. Original picture Full wallhanging (crease in middle will eventually ease out) |
I just love it.

Now that is really awesome! GREAT job!
|
great job!

So glad you're pleased with it Ducks, I had fun doing it. The crease should drop out when it's hung, especially if you put a thin batten of wood top and bottom in those li'l pockets I put on the back. ;-) :-D
PS I was SO tempted to make a little removable piece of your son's behind! But resisted. |
How cool! Yes I think you should keep it for yourself. May I ask - where was the original photo taken? Interesting to see a bear underwater looking thru a window. We have fish aquariums like that...never seen a "bear aquarium" before :D

Last June we went to the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, in Colorado Springs. There is a really nice area for the grizzlies and a pond that has the lower-level glassed in area. What was so neat was that the bear was real busy "playing" with a floating log (like it was a little twig) when he stopped and slowly floated to the bottom so he could get a good look at Sarah. They stood and studied each other for what seemed like a long time. |
Nice job. It is so cute.
|
very inventive!
