Kaffe Fassett Wedding Quilt Update: Quilted and Done!
 

I posted this quilt as a top, and received so many nice comments and people asking me to show it again when it was finished. Well, here it is: I took some of the closeups without flash, so the quilting designs might show.

The bride and groom will be coming tomorrow to visit for Father's Day. I'm going to tell them to go up to their room... that their wedding present is on their bed!

Don't know if you can see, but the center of the quilt is quilted with hearts.

The border fabric really lent itself to being outline quilted with FMQ.

This quilt was a kit called Hedge Maze that I bought from Craftsy. It's currently on backstock. The pattern is by Heidi Pridemore for Rowan Fabrics. It was a fun and easy quilt to make, but I'm glad now that it's done. It took me a week and that's long enough!

I love it. Beautiful work using gorgeous fabric. I love Kaffe fabric. I collected it for a couple of years for a special project. I wasn't sure what the project was as I collected. I am working on a BOM right now with my Kaffe fabric. When my DD sees it she will want the quilt. Not sure if I will be able to part with it.

Well... I totally blew that! I meant to tell them I put their wedding present on their bed... but instead I slipped and said 'I put your wedding QUILT on your bed' ! Total Freudian slip, as I had quilt on my mind so much.

They did love it and I know they will enjoy using it. They will take it home with them later today.
