At the garage sale last month I scored big on bright animal/kids material and have been busy making small kids quilts. But the lizard material called for something else...so I spent a day doing a Stack-n-Whack and these are some of the blocks I constructed. Have yet to put them together into a quilt top...maybe tomorrow! Thanks for looking!

I like it....a different take on S-n-W.

Barb_MO 09-05-2010 04:09 AM

This is going to be a great kid's quilt.
I'm trying to figure out how you got the mirror image. did you use the wrong side of the fabric for every other triangle?

SueDor 09-05-2010 04:32 AM

You did a great job with your "Kaleidoscope" effect.

NikkiLu 09-05-2010 05:16 AM

WOW - you have made the monsters even more "monstery"!

calicocat 09-05-2010 05:33 AM

Those are without a doubt the best ones I have seen....I really love what that fabric did with the stack and wack. I teach a dazzling dresden class so I have seen tons but these are my favorites.

Annaquilts 09-05-2010 05:35 AM

You guessed the trick! It's suggested using the "wrong" side in the book if you don't get the results using all right sides AND the design is very strong on the wrong side. Using wrong side every other triangle absolutely transformed the blocks!

And now I can't wait to finish it and quilt it! Thank you all for the compliments!

sueisallaboutquilts 09-05-2010 06:45 AM
