Just gorgeous. I, too, love KT fabrics and am doing the Sentimental Stitches Heartfelt BOW in them now. Like you I love the fact that they can all be mixed and matched. You did a fabulous job and what a great tip to pass along for the Fabrico markers. Thanks!

Thank you all for looking at my quilt and the encouraging comments! :) The people on this board have always been so nice!

This is my main project for today. My gramma's 1970s poly knit quilt in rail fence - I call it "Easter Basket" She hand stitched the blocks and the seams are disintegrating. So, today - sew all the rail fence seams and then I think I can sew the rows then the columns - we'll see.

Haven't decided about finishing, yet.

I love the bright spring colors and the "strange" fabrics - we used to make our clothes of this stuff, but I'd have never thought to make a quilt from them.

I didn't really know this grandmother very well - I have only this quilt and her prayer book. I am thinking and remembering a lot while I work on it.

I'm about halfway done with sewing the seams within the rail fence. This is going to take longer than I thought. But, quilts always do, don't they? :D

What a great log cabin pattern. It's wonderful to use up those scraps that are neither light nor dark. I have tons of 1 1/2" strips. I'll have to try that layout. It's a beautiful quilt, and what a clever fix.

Beautiful work!! LC blocks are so fun to play with....so many unique patterns emerge....applique border will be beautiful to set this center off. Please share that, too!

I made up a pdf of the EQ charts for someone - layout, simplified yardage and cutting charts for the two different blocks.

Thought I'd post it here, too in case anyone else is interested.

I like this method of cutting the strips to precise lengths because it helps you keep your block square right from the start and it lays flat and smooth when you're done.
