What's next now?
Weeelllll, I have at least 24 projects in my head... and I need to start the ragged flannels. But, on my way through the countryside to my favorite quilt shop this morning, I got another idea for this pattern--I'll call it Fall Swirl. I even picked up some batiks to help! :D

This pattern is so good for stories about color!!

Barnbum, I love your posy photos, and that Pansy is Perfection, but not as beautimus as your four legged babies!!!

Maksi 10-12-2009 08:32 AM

Wow, georgious. I Love the way you used the colours!

It's gorgeous, and absolutely perfect for you! You're keeping this one for yourself, right?

Another stellar project! Kudos to Karla!

That quilt is drop-dead gorgeous. I can't believe you found a fabric that so perfectly matches your photo. It will be a very, very special gift for your daughter, but if I were you I would give it some practice time (as on your bed) before putting it away for her.

I love the quilt, awesome job, the colors are the key for me. I have a lot of these colors sitting in my stash just waiting for the right pattern. Can you tell me the name of the pattern and/or where you got it?

The mitered boarder came out wonderful. What technique did you use? I may have to try it!
I actually read about three ways--and decided on this one and it worked great. I found it by searching in Main. It's here: http://parkcitygirl.blogspot.com/200...d-corners.html

Can you tell me the name of the pattern and/or where you got it?
The pattern is called "Shadows on the Pond" and it's in McCall's Quilting August 2009. I bought rulers to make the cutting easier, but there are templates available. The rulers are cool though because now I can make it any size I want. :D

GORGEOUS! I love the colors and your transitioning. The pattern is great. How hard is that one to do? Can I buy some of your energy???

Absolutely beautiful!

Actually--very easy! I made 4 squares at a time. The time consuming part is always what color to put where.

Energy? Nah. I just keep a steady pace and never watch TV. I highly recommend a daily dose of Vit B complex, and ice cream.

I very much enjoyed the story that goes with the beautiful quilt you created.
I do believe you captured the story quite completely with your color choices and I am in awe on your capabilities!
Good job on the mitered corner! Just think of the possibilities! <g>

Karla, it is absolutely stunning. I love the border. When I read about why you picked that for the border, I pictured your pics that you posted. Great job on the miter. How wonderful that it will be saved for your daughter; it will be kind of a memory quilt for her.

Love your avatar.
