THe quilts are all beautiful. I love the necktie quilt your mother made. Do you have a picture of the whole quilt? I'd love to see it.
That basket quilt is to die for!!!!!!!!!! :D:D:D
You have such wonderful heirlooms!! TFS |
yes I have several pictures of mommas tie quilt and I have pics of the one she did for my son and his wife will try to find and post them tomorrow she won ribbons for her tie quilts
What a perfect way to store them!!! They can be seen but protected! Much better that inside a closet.
I love the necktie quilt!
I 'store' my hand me down quilt that my Grandmother made on a bed so it doesn't get fold lines. It is under a store bought quilt to keep the sun off of it. When I have visitors, it magically appears and the visitors get to use it. Don't know what I'd do if I had as many antique quilts as you have! I have enjoyed looking at them and would probably ewww and ahhh over them if I got to see them for real! |
thanks for sharing the beautiful quilts with us
They are wonderful!!!

What a family legacy you possess!! They're all wonderful, but I'm intrigued by the tie quilt!! Can't wait to see a full picture and any measurements that you can give, such as how much of the tie did she use. Hand stitched or machine, etc.
Basket quilts are a favorite of mine, yours is fabulous, such a treasure.
Beautiful Treasures :-D
I have never seen such a beautiful neck tie quilt....but they are all wonderful treasures!
Wow, you really have beautiful quilts as heirlooms. I especially like the tie quilt your mother made, it is really pretty.
Another Okie. YEAH!!! Your quilts are amazing! Just gorgeous. You are very fortunate to have them so you can admire them often. Such sentimental value there!!! Your quilt Chest is beautiful as well. I know you must be so proud of these beauties. Wouldn't it be grand if these older quilts could talk & tell about the process of it being made or about the maker? I have always thought that. Thank You for sharing.
I want to be the keeper of those quilts...They are so beautiful..
Those are all beautiful quilts, but the necktie quilt is absolutely gorgeous, like WANNABEE, I'd like to see the whole quilt if possible, I'll bet it's stunning.

They are all a treasure for you to keep! I would also like to know how the neck tie quilt is done - I have a box of my Dad's ties and haven't decided what to do with them.
