Kelly's Quilt (Better than I hoped)

This is my attempt to emulate Lady-T's quilt posted 07-09-2013.
Mine is not as good as hers because the ric-rac made my fabric borders pucker. We live and learn I guess. I am a bit disappointed, but I am hoping the quilting will deal with it when the time comes. This little girl brightens my day each time I see her when going to school with my Grandson. She is cheeky, has freckles and Auburn hair. She reminds me of myself at age 8. I hope she will like it, it's a surprise for her. |

Any little girl would love this...especially a cheeky one with freckles and auburn hair! I think your concerns about puckers will disappear when it's been quilted and washed.

Knowing that rick rack shrinks, I wash it and any zippers that I am going to use and dry in the dryer. Yes, they do have to be pressed, but there is no shrinkage afterwards.

That is truly a girly girl quilt. I can just see the auburn hair and freckles peeking out of the top of that quilt.
