Kite quilt completed!
1 Attachment(s)
For my 1st grandchild, due in January! It's not very soft and cuddly because the quilting is pretty dense, I wanted to try a few new things and got carried away.
Cute quilt! Congrats on the upcoming DGK! :)
Lovely Kite quilt and it can be used for tummy time!
Cute quilt. Love the colors. Maybe with many washing it will soften up.
That's beautiful!
Congrats on your grand baby! Would make a beautiful wall hanging if it fits their color choices for Baby's room. Otherwise it will be great to put down for creeper time-dense quilting means better traction!
Beautiful! You are fast but you have lots of time to make more! LOL.Minky on the back is super. Congrats Grandma!
Beautiful!! love the colors you used and the kites are perfect! Did you have a pattern for the kites or just wing it?
Very pretty and I'm sure it will soften after a couple of washes.
very pretty!!!
Very pretty baby quilt, love the kites! Congrats!
I really like your kite border.
Fabulous log cabin design. And I love the border.
Cute! Love the colors and the quilting. It's not what I expected when I saw "kite quilt."
love the kite border.
Very cute quilt for your new grand baby!
Love this quilt and it's super cute too.
Very pretty as it is. I agree that washing will help some.
Beautiful! I love log cabins, and the kites are adorable.
Good thinking to use the blue and pink in the quilt. Such a pretty quilt. When it gets washed, which it will repeatedly with a baby, the softness will happen. Don't worry. I personally think quilts that will get this much use needs to be heavily quilted to hold up!
So very delicate looking...
I think its very pretty! I bet it will be loved!
Pretty. BrendaK

here's a closer view, FMQ on my DSM around the kites - I was aiming to create motion to show that the wind was blowing the kites around. For the center of the quilt I used a walking foot to spiral a circle out towards to edges. |
So pretty! I love the colors.
Very pretty.
Beautiful quilt. Love the FMQ, such vibrant texture.
It looks great! If it is too stiff for cuddling, it would make a great wall hanging.
Very nice quilt. You did a great job!
