OH WOW!!!!!!! more then standing ovation whistles and everything for a long time. I love kokopelli's. I do Chile Peppers everywhere and the latest one I have is a chile pepper king size bedspread (wish I knew how to post pics) in my bedroom the curtains I also made and they have the chile pepper baskets. The bedspread is quilted with chile peppers and then my other colorful quilt is quilted with Kokopelli's. Nothing southwest about me huh. (lol) You have out done yourself if you need a place to put it I have room here. CONGRATULATIONS BEAUTIFUL JOB ALL OF IT!!!!!!!

The hardest part --- well, I designed the Kokopelli and cactus....creating it on the computer so the rows "nested" wasn't all that hard -- a good learning experience. Creating rows that nested AND stopped before they went over into the center panel was interesting. I found a Kokopelli and cactus pictures on the internet, copied, scanned, dumped into CorelDraw, then fixed and dropped into the computer program for the quilter. The computer program has 20 little marks between the inches instead of doing it by eighths!!! How stupid! I have to look to see if there's a setting that I can change or not. It took until the LAST row of the diamonds, that I discovered something. The computer portion is OFF by 1/4"!!!!! CRAZY! No wonder I couldn't measure right !!!! It wasn't me after all!!!! Also, my machine is in the shop -- outside...believe me, I ran up and down stairs, back and forth so many times my legs now have muscles!!! I KNOW the next one I do like that -or similar will be easier. heh heh heh -- in fact, the next quilt, the owner has requested I do ALL of it free-hand - no computer. whew, now we'll see what I can REALLY do! |
I'm standing and clapping and saying "Bravo, Bravo," job well done. It gorgeous.

Dee, Thank you so much for the technical side. It was fascinating! You practically have to be a computer engineer to do what you described. I can't imagine having one of those bad boys running and all of a sudden it starts quilting where you never intended it to! Yikes how stressful is that? Can't wait to see your freehand one.
