This is a beautiful quilt. I have problems with the blocks(seem to move around when I look at them-think it is my astigmatism (sp). Love this quilt, the quilting just sets it off. Who is going to claim this treasure, or will you be sharing ownership?

:) I have the same problem with bargello quilts. Long story, but Patrick and Bonnie have me babysitting their longarm...they decided to move to Yuma and live in their RV for a few years. The agreement is that I quilt for them.....I think they're going to put it up for sale. :) :) Although, I'd LOVE to have it myself.

amandasgramma 01-09-2011 10:20 AM

I just re-read what I wrote -- I meant I think they're putting the QUILT up for sale.... :) :)

Simply amazing! Your quilting designs from the applique/decorative stitching, really sets this quilt off!
Great job - I would have been pulling out my hair!

Question - did you use variegated thread to quilt?

amandasgramma 01-29-2011 03:05 PM

marmalade...i didn't do the appliqueing -- I HATE appliqueing. This is a customer's quilt.
Yes, I used varigated...I LOVE the varigated threads.

BTW - the next quilt I'll be quilting is mine and it's APPLIQUED!!! ROL....yip, it's the one that made me decide I hate it!

marvellove 01-29-2011 03:20 PM

Great quilt. I am standing and clapping!!!

molly2 01-29-2011 03:32 PM

You are way too funny amandasgramma! re how much you just "love" applique now!!! lol!!!

But didn't your quilting mimic the applique work? I thought I saw cacti and such??
