La Pass Squared
2 Attachment(s)
I have squared the La Pass and am working on the borders. I have decided to put them on by hand. I had a hard time trimming it up but it is done. I did not EPP. I marked 1/4" seam and sewed it together.

That is stunning!

Lovely! Maybe you can use your trimmed pieces appliquéd on the border.
|
You did an excellent job with putting enough lights in this quilt to make it beautiful and well balance without having it be overly busy.
|
Amazing work! This is one I would never even think of beginning. Congratulations on a great finish.

Fantastic planning of design! I have seen several of these posted and I salute all of you quilters who do this quilt. But this is the first one I have seen where the fabric was arranged so you could see circles. That is just ingenious. I could be mistaken, but it even looks like a couple of the larger circles were made to look ringed with flowers. This is a true prize winner we are looking at.

Beautiful! I'm still debating with myself whether to square mine up or appliqué the rosettes onto the border.
|
Incredible job! And the fact that you didn't use EPP is amazing!

Two gold stars...one for doing and other for piecing instead of epp!
|
Beautiful quilt!
|
Beautiful!! I'm working on one but I am going to appliqué the edges to border pieces instead of trimming. Hope it turns out as good as yours.

It looks great!

A beautiful piece of work.

All I can say is ..... GORGEOUS:):)

Really beautiful! I love these quilts but I'm not brave enough yet to try one. Well done!

Thanks everyone for the good words. I enjoyed making it but I hated to trim it up. Since I had lots of little pointy triangles around the edge I decided I didn't want to try and appliqué it onto a border. I am in the process of adding a one inch red border and then a five inch black border. I made a mistake in cutting the black border yesterday and I am trying to decide what to do. I don't have enough of the material to make a whole new strip. I cut 46 instead of 48. The other three strips are cut accurately. I just may have to go shopping and buy a whole different black. Ha!
