You're not boring me. I love to see your progress. I am going to look at my book and see how she ends hers off. I can't wait to start one but I have to finish this one project and it will take a couple of months. Dang it!

I am so impressed! That is drop dead gorgeous!!! I wouldn't cut of the points either!

Truly going to be a stunning quilt!

This is one I don't think I will attempt so I can live vicariously and pretend it's mine.:)

Maybe check a large library for the book; they might have it??

Looks like Willyne made the circles a certain size and then drew an imaginary square around it and cut some of the circles and made some extra pieces to fill in some holes. She put a very narrow border and a wider border to finish it off. The book is written in both French and English and the measurements are in centimeters so I have to convert to inches. It is interesting the way she ads her rows in circles and how she decided the size and cut some of the circles and filled in other places. Whatever you did will be gorgeous.

Hope I'm not boring anyone with this, but here's another update:
I guess at some point soon I'll have to work out how I want to do the edge. Appliqué the rosettes onto a border? "Cut" them off with a small border to frame them? Or...??? |
That's an amazing quilt. If you were to judge it by the thimble guideline would it be a 5 thimble quilt, as opposed to an easy one thimble quilt?

Jaw dropping gorgeous and soooooooooo much work!
