I can't wait to see the finished quilt.

Thank you. Will write to the magazine and see if they will provide the pattern for me. I appreciate your quick response to my question.

I can see why you're having a hard time deciding! Both came out really nice.
My favorite is still the first one though.

#1 all the way

Oh I DO like it with florals! they really allow the shadow effect to come thru.

Rosyhf 06-24-2013 07:18 PM

I have finished the 5 "A" blocks and cut the strips for the 4 "B" blocks. Hopefully I can finish those within the next few days.

All the blocks are done and here they are on the board. I now need to sew then together and then make the three borders and then I will be able to see a better effect.

I have just enough fabric left to finish the borders, I was a bit worried. I will post another pic when it is quilted.

DH loves this quilt and has requested a king size for his bed lol. He says he wants to imagine falling into bed. I think this quilt is really a man thing. I will let him pick his fabrics.

Son will probably request one too.

Oh that's coming out beautifully!

Now I want to figure out if it is possible to do one that you can "walk" all the way through from top to bottom. Looks like on this one you can go a few blocks, but not all the way. I know, not a big priority to anyone but a nerd like me. Lol!

Keep showing us pictures!!!

I think after the rest of the white goes on it will be all the way through, these are just the blocks, more to come lol.

Love it! You made the right choice with the fabrics. Please share the info on the selvege of the green floral, the batik leaf, and the other leaf. I love florals and haven't seen those. You sure put that together quick! Can't wait to see it finished.

Hello all again-the wonderful Mr. Christopher Florence of the Guilty Quilters has been posting about this pattern becoming available for all of us to purchase. Here is a link to all the info. Can't wait until it is available! What a great job they have done! Rosyhf you have done their fabulous, hard work justice!

The print I am using is called bugs and berries by Kathleen parr McKenna for Michael miller, pattern c1736: the floral is called floral bouquet by ladyfingers studio for andover fabrics #1904; the batik leaf has no numbers or anything and the batiks don't have those. The big leaf print is called, country side by Hoffman (c) screen print; the green floral says, deigned in the usa for Erlanger and the number 23456, but that could refer to the dye lots.

The labyrinth Walk Top

I have finally finished the top last night about 1.30 am lol. It is actually a nice size. I thought about making it longer but I like it the way it is. I think it's about 86x86. After I quilt it, I will post another pic. I ran out of board on the left side, so it's just hanging there.

Rosyhf your quilt is beautiful! I like the floral fabric you used.

Rosyhf - Your quilt is so gorgeous. I am glad that you chose the floral. Seeing your work step-by-step is very nice too.

I love watching your posts to see what you are working on. I'm still amazed by the labyrinth quilt. I think I might have to make one of these someday. Hope you had a great weekend. I'm ready to see what you are working on now. :D

DOTTYMO 07-14-2013 10:28 PM

I think one fabric with a floral design which set of fabric fine.

DOTTYMO 07-14-2013 10:33 PM

Rosy what would it look like if you did it in two colour ways ie as on the wall.

key4unc 07-15-2013 01:33 AM

They're all beautiful. I agree though, make a block from each selection and see which one you like best. If you're using the pattern from the magazine, there are some corrections.

never mind <<grin>> I see you've already finished the quilt. It is gorgeous

BrendaK 07-15-2013 03:01 AM

WOW you are good. This looks great. When I grow up I want to be as good as you. Love it. BrendaK

I love the floral fabric in it and especially like the choice you made.

I did the original pattern in a light and dark blue--but I can see many possibilities now for another one before Christmas.
Jump in there girls --they aren,t that hard to do as long as you keep your pieces straight when sewing them together.
I figure --If I can do it --anyone can.--I thought that they were pretty easy.I have only been sewing for a few years now.
