Lace quilt
 

My mother crochet this lace about 15 years ago and she gave it to me before she past away. Not knowing what to do with it I decide to make this queen size bed quilt . It is absolutely exquisite and stunning beyond words with your mothers lace. Have not see anything like this in a very long time and certainly nothing as stunning as this. This is one of those quilts that should never leave your possession at all. I would not trust anyone else with this. You did your mother proud!

Very pretty. I have some lace my great grandmother did, just saving it because "no one" does that anymore. Not sure I could do what you did but I like the idea.
How did you attach the lace to the fabric?
I assume it has the fabric behind it, but did you sew it to the fabric like someone might tie a quilt to keep the layers together?

Oh My Word!!! What a treasure! I crochet but have never had the ability to use such small thread. The best was baby yarn, so you know I am extremely impressed by her work and the way you have chosen to honor it. Truly a treasure.
