Gorgeous! Red or black would both look terrific. What about a print border that has both?

Beautiful quilt. If You use a black binding it will make your center of black just pop right out.

I'm pleased that you chose black for the binding. Agree that it makes the red in the quilt 'pop'. Beautiful quilt. She shouldn't be disappointed.
