Those are exactly like the stack and whack, Tiptoe through the Tulips (Cutebuns tutorial) and any number of techniques. Bottom line - - cut four squares that are exactly the same place in your fabric strip rather than six layers for "hexagons" ... and then you are basically just working with a four patch ... a great starter for getting bolder toward the hexagon/triangle stacknwhack ... intriguing looking technique and quilt <wave>

Thanks ever so much for the great show. It's almost like getting to be there in person. So glad you took lots of pics. Don't worry, I don't think anyone thought it was too long a post, enjoyed every pic. Did you and Gaigai. get ribbons? I didn't see any ribbons on any of the quilts that showed anyway. I wish I lived close to a great show like that. The only quilts we get to see are from local people and we never have more than about 20 at the Fair if even that many.
