One note, see that cute rainbow zebra? And the pic above it with the finger? That finger is my 6 year old grandson, showing the tiny size of those blocks (included selvedge logs). I didn't get a pic of the entire quilt, but 2 pics up, you can get an idea of the size of that quilt - about a / of it shows, on the right side of the same pic as the pine trees and heart roses quilts. I think it was a king size quilt. Wow!

What a great display of beautiful quilts. A lot of talented quilters. I was picking favorites as I looked at them but there were so many, I'll have to go back and give them all another good look when I have more time. Thanks for posting.

Beautiful quilts, I especially like the rainbow zebra - so cute

annthreecats 08-09-2012 01:57 AM

Wow, quilting is alive and well in Lancaster county. When we have our local fair, we only have a few quilts entered each year. It's really sad.

burchquilts 08-09-2012 02:32 AM

Wow! So many gorgeous quilts! So much inspiration! I'll bet you felt like you'd died & gone to heaven while you were in among all those beauties! I like simple quilts so my favorite is the 4-patch strippie, And I also like the Sugar Loaf (I wonder if it's new or an antique? It's hard to tell). But they're all fabulous! Thank you so much for sharing these!

Nantie 08-09-2012 02:37 AM

Thanks for the quilt tour since we couldn't be there! When is the Threads Across Nebr quilt show? We went last year to Kearney for that, was so much fun and well organized. DH bought me material and book so made him a Civilwar quilt.

fivepaws 08-09-2012 06:43 AM

The women of Nebraska sure know how to make beautiful quilts. Love them all. I sure would like to try the Zebra.....that is if I had grandchildren.

OKLAHOMA PEACH 08-09-2012 07:33 AM

I have never been, but glad to hear it is worth the time.

Thank you, thank you & thank you for posting pictures!!! I can't get to these shows & am always so disappointed when posters say how great it was but don't add pictures. Thank you

Beautiful quilts and such a variety. Thanks for sharing the show!

Tartan 08-09-2012 02:38 PM

Wow, what a great display of quilts! It s so nice to see a fair with good participation in the Homecrafts area. I see a few quilts/ wallhangings from some QB members. Well done!

Aunt Janey 08-09-2012 06:16 PM

Thanks for sharing the quilts at the fair. Was the pink cat outline quilt yours?
I have seen it on the board before.

jojosnana 08-09-2012 06:41 PM

So much inspiration! Thanks for sharing..

Cindy60545 08-10-2012 04:08 AM

There's definitely some beautiful quilts there! What I did notice, was lack of quilting on some of them. If they had put more effort into the quilting, they'd have probably ribboned. Definitely great inspiration there.

WMUTeach 08-10-2012 04:14 AM

Lovely selection of quilts. I am glad that you did not ask us for a favorite. I saw several that would fit that category. Thanks for sharing your tour of the quilts at the fair.

bibi 08-10-2012 06:05 AM

Thanks for sharing, there are all so lovely. You must have enjoyed your Fair visit.

butterflies5518 08-10-2012 07:48 AM

These are beautiful! Thank you for sharing - my favorite would be the - oh heck - all of them. But I am partial to the rainbow horse, I remember reading this book to my son who is now 24.

IBQLTN 08-10-2012 09:37 AM

My favorite is in the second set of pictures, the picture just below the Madonna. It's a little whimsical, topsy turvey quilt with a chicken and a crooked house!

Yes, the pink cat was mine, it hung below the praying parents quilt I made for my sister (that one won a ribbon! http://www.quiltingboard.com/picture...n-t197073.html) I also had the quilt I made for my daughter & her hubby for their anniversary a couple years ago - it has pics of all 6 grandkids faces (it is the blue & brown quilt above the embroidered quilts).

Did you mean this one? My daughter liked it too, and she doesn't really care for quilts too much.
