Large dalia templets

Years ago my daughter picked a lot of fabrics from an upholstery end of line sale which included velvety and suede materials. She wanted a cover for her bed that was different from the usual douvet covers. I put this together but this was before I had learned about 1/4" or how to add wadding or backing so I just sewed it to a valance sheet . Why I am showing this is we were bringing Christmas decorations down from attic and this was in a plastic bag and I had forgotten all about it. Thankfully I have learned a bit more since then but will just put it away again as reminder of days past lol.

It's very pretty. I'd be tempted to make a quilt out of it after all these years!

Yep, add the batt and quilt it up! Think of all the FMQ practice you can do on the background.

very clever!!!

It's really nice. Maybe you should rethink putting it away and make it into a quilt.

That is just to nice to be hidden away. Bring it out and enjoy your lovely work.

I agree with these women. Why not quilt it up? It is certainly pretty enough.

Ditto what these two stated. Great ideas!
