I was thinking over sized lap quilt-but now maybe I should add more rows and make it a bed quilt. What would you do? What ever I decide has to wait-doing a craft show next weekend-have to start sorting and getting ready for that now-no more sewing for a week.

I love it. I love the combination of colors and placement of squares.
You have a lot of negative space to do you magic in quilting.
Thanks for sharing..

Grandma Bonnie 07-28-2012 06:48 AM

It's very pretty whatever you decide to do with it!

DebbE 07-28-2012 06:53 AM

Maybe do a row of prairie points all the way around, to lay on a wide border? Just pick one of the colors in your quilt, other than maybe one of the cheddar colors...I'd pick one that isn't used quite as much for the border. Love your quilt!

nativetexan 07-28-2012 07:20 AM

yep, it's getting big. go for bed size. i make large lap quilts that end up twin size too.

Diane007 07-28-2012 07:24 AM

it looks very orange

quiltinggirl 07-28-2012 07:38 AM

I think this would be great as a bed quilt! I love the look of this with all the fabrics you used.

jojosnana 07-28-2012 07:40 AM

It looks like a cheerful fall quilt. I like it!

joyce j 07-28-2012 08:14 AM

lovely quilt. joyce j

SouthPStitches 07-28-2012 08:18 AM

It's great. I'd go for a bed size. The colors are perfect for a transitional seasonal quilt. Looks great anytime but especially August through November

landers1 07-28-2012 08:26 AM

I really enjoiy looking at all of your quilts, Good luck at the craft show.

candicane 07-28-2012 09:14 AM

If I can be so bold I'd call it Rainbow sherbert, that was the first thing that popped into my head.....

northern lass 07-28-2012 09:20 AM

There's some pretty colours in your quilt. If you have the fabric, I would continue with more blocks, it's lovely

Tweety2911 07-28-2012 09:42 AM

It's very pretty with nice colors and interesting placement of squares and rectangles. It makes a great canvas for quilting designs!

hopetoquilt 07-28-2012 10:23 AM

Beautiful quilt and your seams match flawlessly. (mine are that good only if you stand about 20 feet away... LOL)

sassy granny 07-28-2012 01:00 PM

I would go ahead with bed size. It's very pretty, love the orange. I would love to display that on my bed.

Wow!! I love all the colors you put into this quilt, just lovely. Good luck at your craft fair.

mcb1180 07-29-2012 01:01 AM

I love it just the way it is. From the looks of it, you're one or two columns short of a twin size, but adding to the side is always tricky, I wouldn't risk it.

hairquilt 07-29-2012 04:53 AM

Yup-praire points would look awesome on your quilt! Please post pic after its quilted-Can't wait to see what you put in the large areas!!

karenpatrick 07-29-2012 04:55 AM

Very nice job. I recognize some of those fabrics as Connecting Threads. Don't you love their Quilter's Candy fabric. Has a great hand the price is sure right.

I would make it a bed quilt, it is beautiful!

Tartan 07-29-2012 08:22 AM

I'm thinking bed quilt. Don't you love that cheddar orange colour fabric? Years ago I wouldn't have looked at it along with neon yellow and green. I love them now! Your quilt top is great!

nannyrick 07-29-2012 09:49 AM

Love the colors. Would make a grea bed quilt, or lap size.

fred singer 07-29-2012 09:51 AM

fantastic color choose,great job.

tweety2 07-30-2012 03:26 AM

I love your work, so anything would look good. Some of the greens would look nice as
boarders. Love the pattern. What is the name of it?

I love this fabric, too... you have such wonderful color sense! I say go big or go home, too! And if you still don't know what to do with this, there's a certain little quilter here in WI who sure would appreciate something like this... LOL!

bibi 07-30-2012 06:09 AM

It"s gorgeous either way!

heather1949 07-30-2012 06:34 AM

I'd go for the bed size and really play with the quilting, good luck with the craft show.

trolleystation 07-30-2012 07:27 AM

I am loving that bright geometric quilt.

ellifour 07-30-2012 07:40 AM

great colors, i say make it twin size. it probably just another row of blocks anyway

Sewbeeit2 07-30-2012 08:30 AM

You have done a terrific quilt ....great colors. Would live to see some strips and more polka dots . like the idea of prairie points. I saw a quilt with big 4 inch points on the border..a piano keyboard border would be lovely with all of your beautiful colors. Happy quilting

carolynjo 07-30-2012 11:58 AM

I like your choice of colors and I think it would make a lovely larger quilt.

ladyredhawk 07-30-2012 03:23 PM

love the colors It will be beautiful with the machine quilting

Janice Thompson 07-30-2012 04:05 PM

I too have some of the fabric from Connecting
Threads. I too am curious as to the name of the pattern. Looks so simple to put together

Latrinka 07-30-2012 04:44 PM

I don't know, but it's pretty! I like oversized lap quilts myself. I always make mine long enough to cover up with if you lay down on the couch.

ctipton 07-30-2012 09:09 PM

OOOOOOOOOOOOO I love that quilt the orange and greens would be great in my new room. Thanks for sharing it with us

Sewnique 07-31-2012 02:31 PM

I would go with the bed quilt with some of the prairie points as someone has already stated. It really looks good. Good luck with your craft show.
