Does anyone know when precut applique shapes became available? Years ago (mid-'80's maybe) I was given a card box that had butterflies just like that all cut exactly the same and in the same fabrics. That might help with dating but I don't know. Really just wanted to say I like the top in addition to the other six!

Love the butterfly top. Quite a trove of treasures you've found.

Thanks, everyone. I wasn't the one that found these but they are quite the trove of treasures. I washed and bleached a bunch of feed sacks yesterday and found some that have a few holes and some that have holes repaired. I think that's what would have been done back in the day. In fact, I think I remember having a quilt with feed sacks on the back and repaired holes in them. I'll be ready to post a picture of a finished quilt top in about a week I hope.

if it's long enough already perhaps borders could be added on the sides. Very nice quilt.

They are very lucky to have you finish the quilts for them.

Very pretty top.
