late Christmas quilt done

3 Attachment(s)
I had these christmas print squares and put them into a quilt. started this last month before I lost my husband. I just got back to it. Keepsake quilting had a large snowman on the front of theirs but I think I will not add him after all. The backing has green scroll border and the front has red. I'm thinking of two fabric border if I have enough of the green.

It's very pretty just the way it is. I hope you are doing fairly well and adjusting a little bit each day. Please take care of yourself.

Oh. . . I'm so sorry to hear about your husband. Working on our quilts can be very therapeutic, can't it???
Your quilt is GORGEOUS!!! :) :) I love the front AND the back!!! I also agree that the front doesn't really need the snowman. . . as far as I'm concerned, there's already too much snow in the world!! :)
Take care of yourself! :)

I'm so sorry for your loss(my mother lost her hubby of 63 years, my father) and though I miss him terribly, she has been lost but after 6 months, she is feeling like maybe she can go on. So, hopefully life will improve for you and you can keep working on beautiful quilts!

Your quilt is a beauty and a great grief-therapy project. I find that I am reminded of life circumstances that were happening each time I look at particular quilts. This one will hold wonderful memories of the time you and your husband had together. It's a treasure. I am so sorry about the loss of your husband.

I am sorry to hear of your recent loss. Your quilt is very pretty. Thank you for posting it. I just recieved large pile of Christmas blocks from grandama's stash, and had no idea how to use them. I like your simple idea.

MargeD 01-27-2015 11:21 AM

First, my condolences on the loss of your DH. Your quilt is beautiful just the way you've done it. I hope quilting will give you some peace, I know when I lost my brother suddenly at 52 from cancer, quilting a king size quilt for our bed helped me work through the grief. God bless.

Jingle 01-27-2015 11:34 AM

So sorry to hear of your Husband's passing. Beautiful quilt. Staying busy helps me through most things life throws at me.
