We welcomed a new niece into the family last year when my SIL got married. Tamika is 10 and she likes pink. She likes dinasours too, but I couldn't find any lurking in my stash. This is for a twin bed, 70x90 and it's on it's way to AZ.

I was afraid of bargellos too until I learned it's all strip piecing. I found the book "Twist and Turn Bargello Quilts" by Eileen Wright. This pattern is surf's song. She explains the technique very well and there are pictures as well.

I don't, generally speaking, like bargello quilts. Honestly, they make me a bit nauseous. This one however, is beautiful! I think the reason yours is so pretty is because you used "patterned" fabric and in my humble opinion that makes all the difference. Beautiful quilt, great job!!!!!

Skratchie, the bargello will not overload your skill level. They are actually very easy to do, but you have to pay really close attention and keep your strips in perfect order. Using text and email, I am teaching my friend who is an accomplished quilter, to make a bargello.
