Very nice.

Thanks! Elnan i pieced the block and then sewed it to the denim block using the sewing lines as the quilting lines. Then i did one quilting line from corner to corner in the opposite direction of the quilting on the blocks.
I do not sew the seams twice. I use new good quality thread. It is a battle to get this huge quilt through my machine once! LOL
I love making rags quilts and i have sketched a ton of ideas for making them. Now, just to find the time! haha

I love the quilt, I make a lot of rag quilts too but have always done flannel....think it is time to switch it up a bit and use my denim scraps

I LOVE this quilt! I would like to know what SIZE blocks you used. Maybe when I'm done with my other projects, I could make one for my bed?

I've just begin quilting, and I inadvertently discovered the rag quilt technique. My first one was a gift to my granddaughter, a lap quilt featuring Anna and Elsa from Disney's movie, FROZEN. I made a baby rag quilt which I gave to my church's quilting group, of which I am now a member (we donate our quilts to shelters, the homeless, over-seas military personnel, etc), and I have four more planned projects (gifts to my best friend and to family members) between now and Christmas. I will then be taking classes in, I suppose one could say, more traditional quilting. I think I will always love rag quilting, and will continue to make them.

THANKS for sharing this one, and if you get a chance, let me know what size blocks you used. Here is a quote for you, one I heard in a how-to video: MAY THE WORK OF YOUR HANDS DELIGHT YOUR SOUL!

Terrific scrappy, and great denim on the back! :)

Very pretty and sure to keep the chill away on a cold winter's night. Looks so delightfully toasty!

I absolutely ADORE this quilt! I'm thinking a stitch-and-flip method would work as well as your method, Flowergurl. Do you agree? Perhaps I'm missing something.

It's beautiful! I bet it weighs ten pounds. Denim is heavy.

That is gorgeous :)
