Have you checked out Ricky Timms (sp) method of making the points on the Dresden Plate petals? So simple and so quick. No raw edges which have to be turned under.

Your Plate is beautiful. I just finished doing 12 for a King Size coverlet for my bed. My trouble is with the measuring for the block, sashing, etc. I want a drop of three inches below the mattress so I can use it with a bed skirt. I also love the tool! I would have never attempted this without it.

If you love the Dresden Pattern, you should try to find Anelie Belden's book, "Thoroughly Modern Dresden." She has developed an easy way to make the Dresden Plate shapes. On a side note, she is a member of the guild I belong to, a very sweet woman.

I think this would make a great wall hanging or even a table center piece/runner :)
