Leftovers changed into a queen size quilt

Hello all!
In 2013 my goal was to downsize my leftover stash. It worked good, but still a mountain of scraps is there :)

My last scrappy project for the year was that quilt in queensize. It was much fun, because while sewing I remembered every piece of fabric and where else I used it. It was like walking down the memory lane :)

Oh, and if you find a few mistakes, you are right about them :)

Very nice. Hope you enjoyed your walk. Is the border one print or several? You did good. BrendaK

Quilter 65 12-14-2013 07:38 AM

Mistakes? Who is looking? That is lovely and I admire the narrow sashing and narrow cornerstones. That looks a bit laborious but does such a nice job of tying things together.

Mariposa 12-14-2013 07:40 AM

No quilt police here! Truly stunning.

GailG 12-14-2013 08:18 AM

Wee the centers of each block already pieced for something else, or did you purposefully do the three piece centers? Very striking!

tessagin 12-14-2013 08:19 AM

alikat110 12-15-2013 03:50 AM

Really great job. ...

sewmom 12-15-2013 04:37 AM

Nakotha, I know what you mean about going down memory lane when making scrap quilts. When I made my first string quilt, it was" O I made a quilt for Julian with this" or " this was my daughter's dress when she was 5" etc. it was humbling and fun.

Phannie1 12-15-2013 04:41 AM

You know, that narrow sashing is really neat. I would never of thought that narrow would look so good. I will have to try that. I too, need to down size my scraps.

Retired Fire Chief 12-15-2013 05:17 AM

Love it - what mistakes, I've resorted to my boo boos as special effects!

nygal 12-15-2013 05:23 AM

It looks so pretty!!!
