Leftovers changed into a queen size quilt
2 Attachment(s)
Hello all!
In 2013 my goal was to downsize my leftover stash. It worked good, but still a mountain of scraps is there :) My last scrappy project for the year was that quilt in queensize. It was much fun, because while sewing I remembered every piece of fabric and where else I used it. It was like walking down the memory lane :) Oh, and if you find a few mistakes, you are right about them :) |
Very nice. Hope you enjoyed your walk. Is the border one print or several? You did good. BrendaK

Mistakes? Who is looking? That is lovely and I admire the narrow sashing and narrow cornerstones. That looks a bit laborious but does such a nice job of tying things together.
Lovely scrappy!! Great border print too! Glad you had a fun trip down memory lane~
Love your Scrappy Quilt...the colors are so pretty....

The sashing is really lovely--very nice quilt!
No quilt police here! Truly stunning.
Wee the centers of each block already pieced for something else, or did you purposefully do the three piece centers? Very striking!
Great quilt!!

Wow, great quilt and I bet you had a lovely walk down memory lane while using your fabrics. I really like your border print. Where did you find it?
Very pretty! I love to look at scrappies, but have never made one. This one tempts me...
Great way to use scraps.
Really great job. ...
Nakotha, I know what you mean about going down memory lane when making scrap quilts. When I made my first string quilt, it was" O I made a quilt for Julian with this" or " this was my daughter's dress when she was 5" etc. it was humbling and fun.
You know, that narrow sashing is really neat. I would never of thought that narrow would look so good. I will have to try that. I too, need to down size my scraps.
Love it - what mistakes, I've resorted to my boo boos as special effects!
It looks so pretty!!!
