Love your project. I purchased the same pattern etc. years ago at the Paducah Quilt Show and have only made one sample piece. I quess I should get it out again.

I used the Hobbs Thermore that they recommend. Two bags of that was also part of my purchase. Just didn't make the pictures! It is very thin and uniform in thickness. It works very well. If you don't want to buy that, flannel would work as well. Just make sure that you wash it several times first.

That is very true! You can use any scraps from your stash. And I can make them all look different.

I was watching a tutorial on Missouri Star Quilt company and they have a ruler to make a cathedral window quilt that would probably do the same thing that all those rulers did. I'm a bad gadget person, and if it says I need a ruler, I usually get it.

These rulers have a curve on them to line up with your sewn circle for when you make your cut for turning. The arc rulers let you cut your circles to 1/4 inch seam allowance after sewing using your rotary cutter instead of scissors. Love them.
