Absolutely stunning. You have been granted a very special talent.

Thank you. Seven quilts and seven years later, I have so much to be grateful for. Aside from needlepoint, crewel and crosstitch I didn't sew prior to making this. The ladies at the local quilt shop where I saw, fell in love and had to have it said only someone who has never quilted would make this as a first quilt! My daughter in law asked a couple years back if I would replace a zipper in her suit - I just looked at her stupidly and said I don't sew!!! LOL Hugs

hi BeckyL----They are great. I can't understand you being embarrassed about these lovely quilts! Nothing wrong with log cabins, and your colors blend and contrast nicely.

You are so sweet, Thank you

Even though both of these quilts have many "warts" I love them and they inspired me to take up this wonderful hobby.

Here's my Flying Geese. I started it around 1990. Pieced it on the machine and hand quilted it. Finished it around 2000. I'd quilt on it and then put it away for 6 months or so. I thought I'd never finish quilting it! Finished it after my first husband passed away and I remarried. Hence it's name, New Beginnings. (hope this doesn't post twice. My computer doesn't want to do replies lately).

This is my first quilt and hangs in the spare bedroom sometimes. The first time I went to a quilt store, I saw it hanging and asked about it. They did not have a pattern yet, that a member of the quild there made it up. They had the charm packs and yardage so she helped me figure out what I would need. I took a lot of pics and went home and drafted it out on graph paper. The quilting is not even but thought it came out OK.

Here it is.... I made this in 1997, I recently gave it away, the only thing I miss about it is the hand quilting... it could be considered a extra slim twin!

My very first quilt was a sampler quilt. But I no longer have a photo of it. My file is so large I had to delete some very old pic's!
