Finished another purse and pattern....This one was HARD!...It is brown suede and cotton. My machine hates anything that's thick...Then of course there's my Callie...she thinks everything I make is hers...LOL Taking a break after this one....Time to clean up the house and put things back in order...LOL

Beautiful purse and cute assistant!

sewellie 01-01-2015 09:00 PM

I, too would like to know where you found the pattern for the beautiful bag. I have a friend who is a cancer survivor and collects anything with irises. I found the perfect fabric and I think it would look good using that pattern. Thank you for your consideration. Miss Ellie

Just beautiful! Love your fabric choices!

IshtarsMom 01-02-2015 05:24 AM

Thank you all so much...Glad you like it... I made the pattern from a picture on the net like I did the others I posted but since I had a little error in the bucket pattern I decided to write it up first then make it from the instructions just to make sure I had it right...well what seemed logical on paper turned south in a hurry and I haven't gotten back to rewriting what I wrote in the first place... If you pm me with your e-mail address I will send it to you when I get it rewritten....still be aware it is a booger...or else it was the difficulty of sewing with the suede. My hat is definitely off to all the pattern makers out there...

That definitely looks hard! But you did a beautiful job and will enjoy using it. You should get many compliments!

Texas_Sue 01-03-2015 05:57 AM

It may have been hard, but it's beautiful.

quiltingeileen 01-03-2015 06:17 AM

Very pretty! Love the brown and pink fabric.

solstice3 01-03-2015 06:22 AM

Well worth the effort!

2manyhobbies 01-03-2015 06:25 AM

It turned out beautiful, but purses sure can be putzy. I highly recommend the Versatile Wave pattern. It went together li key split, and you can change the bottom of the bag. So you can make one basic black purse or whatever color you want, and then just make different bottom pieces to change with the seasons.

bepositive 01-03-2015 06:38 AM

That is GORGEOUS!!!! :) :) :) I don't blame Callie. . . I'd claim it as MY own too!! She has VERY good taste and it matches her fur coat beautifully!! :) :)

Jordan 01-03-2015 07:53 AM

Very pretty bag. I think your fur baby really likes to pose for the camera.

I can see you have caught the bag bug. I love making them and really enjoy the whole process, even though it can get fussy. I am still trying to find the time to make the first bag you gave us the pattern to. LOL! THe holidays and the car running into my house really has me in a spin still. But, I have taken all my decorations down, put everything away and done my cleaning. So, I will start soon.

Thank you so much for everything you do for us. I know time is precious.

All that being said, That bag is fabulous. I know layers can rack up quickly when it has all that design to it. You did a great job on it. Kudos to the victor!

Your little kitty is a real ham! What an imp!

milikaa1 01-03-2015 11:49 AM

Cute bag and super cute Callie.

MargeD 01-03-2015 01:55 PM

Your hard work paid off as that is one of the most attractive quilts I've seen. You did a really great job.
