Little stuff
 

After finishing 3 bed size quilts, I decided to work on some little things. The first is for our nephew's new baby, BIL and SIL's first grandbaby- from Tadpole Quilts for Kids. Second is a topper for my DM's kitchen table. Pattern is my take on the cover runner of Oct2013 Quilter mag. Flips over to a Christmas holly fabric. Third is a quickie gift for son to take to his girlfriend's aunt for letting him stay up there when he goes to visit. Fourth is a quickie panel for a friend's 5 yr old DD. Hope you like.

Leaves are all done with batiks. I did fusible applique, satin stitching the "veins" and the edges with a coppery color of Sulky thread that seemed to change color with each leaf. Had never seen thread do that before, so very pleased with the result. Thanks for all the compliments, everyone!

Awesome. I only wish I had more time to work on my quilts. I have soooo many in my head. Getting them onto the machine is the hard part. Love your quilts.
Tell your son, if he's in Maryland, he can stay at my house. I just love that quilt.

I love, love the blue and yellow duck quilt, so very cute. The bright flowery panel is adorable and the fall leaves look so real. I really like the way you quilted the table topper, very nice surprise gift for your son to take, much better than anything bought.
