I was very fortunate to win 3 blue ribbons and 1 red in our guild's quilt show last weekend. We have so many quilters, I feel so honored! here are my winning quilts. the drunkard's path and pinwheel I found from Quilting Board!!!! I also made a shower curtain with large grommets...I'll send a better picture later, after it's hung.
thanks ladies!

Love them all, but the pinwheel is especially striking with the plain color pinwheels and the multicolor four-patch blocks.
Great way to set them into a quilt. Thanks for sharing.

UglyCook 10-15-2012 07:19 PM

Congratulations! Those are beautiful quilts.. and .. I love the shower curtain idea! I think I may make one now! Is it actually quilted with batting? Or just lined ?

I am clapping for you! Congratulations! Love the pinwheels.

nunnyJo 10-16-2012 12:53 PM

We had a bus of ladies come over on a 'poker run'. they were from Laurel and Billings. It was organized by Trackside quilting.

I also grew up in Bozeman.

i just lined the shower curtain...since I did peeled back patchwork, I didn't feel it need more quilting. Plus, I don't wash my shower curtain very often.

Can you show us a pic of the print fabric you used as the trim on the curves? I like that fabric....it just sparkles!!

kateyb 10-24-2012 05:37 AM

You are very talented. I really like the drunkards path design. Great idea for a shower curtain. Congratulations on your ribbons.

GrannieAnnie 10-24-2012 05:40 AM

the little dotted fabric added to the drunkard's block turns it into an absolutely spectacular quilt.
