Lone Star for DS

1 Attachment(s)
This Lone Star wallhanging was from a class I took at my Quilt Guild recently. Each diamond is made in one piece and all diamonds are matched when cutting out. It was an interesting class but not really my cup of tea. I half halfheartedly finished the top. When my sister saw the quilt top she proclaimed it as hers. I quilted it up and have ready to be mailed. I see I have a tiny scrap of fabric on the top and didn't notice it when I took the picture. I also FMQ all around the flowers which doesn't show up to well in this picture. Thanks for looking.

Very nice. The fabric choice is fantastic. The little note about the scrap made looking at your quilt lake looking for where's Waldo. Took a while but I found your scrap. What fun.

What a fun quilt -- and I had fun searching for the scrap. When I see or hear of someone having a scrap on a finished quilt, I always remember a quilt show I went to and a fabulous quilt by a nationally known machine quilter. Turned out she chose to display the back because she had neglected to clean off her DM before quilting it and the attached threads and scraps made it more interesting than the intended front. She pinned a note on it to suggest if people wanted to see the other right side they should lift up a corner. The front was great but the collage on the displayed side was amazing.
