Lone Star Log Cabin
2 Attachment(s)
I have wanted to make this one for a long time and have finally done it. It is quite large - about 104 by 90 and I pieced and quilted it on my domestic machine. It provided me with many "firsts", which I really enjoyed. The top is made from various cottons, the batting is wool and the backing is flannel. (We live in Canada, eh.) Due to some problems, I did start to call it the "evil one" for a while but I am very happy with the way it turned out.

Lovely quilt and toasty for winter!

That quilt is absolutely gorgeous! The quilting is beautiful as well. I really like the feathers in the light log areas.

Beautiful, I love the way the pillow tucks look. Did you go by a pattern or just make it up?
|
Perfectly beautiful, colors, design and quilting! I love quilting with the wool batting, don't you?
|
That's a stunning quilt. Well done!

Wow, it's gorgeous! I kinda love that something you called "the evil one" is so pretty ;P
Did you do something special to get the pattern to look so purposefully rectangular where you cover the pillows, or does the fold naturally fall exactly at the edge of your first row of log cabins? |
That's impressive! It's a wonderful quilt
|
Wow! And Double Wow! I just love it. You quilted that on a DMS??? That is amazing. Terrific job. Thanks so much for showing us.
