I bought between 3 & 4 yards of this for $2.99 at the local thrift store this morning. It says Tropikana Java by David Whithead Zimbawe Design No 6882 along the salvage edge. Try to look for it online, but did not find much. The colors are really rich! When I first bought it I thought about making a purse out of some of it, but the design seems to large for that. Don't know what I should do with it...any suggestions.

WOW!! It's so pretty, so different. . .
I don't know if I would want to cut it!

Thats so pretty! Doesnt even need to be cut. I would make a table runner.

That's gorgeous! That would make a beautiful Kaleidoscope or Stack n Whack. Wow, I just love it.

A table runner is a really good idea too

I think I would use a panel of it for the center of a quilt then border it out. It's just too pretty to cut up in little pieces:)

wow. very nice. great price, too!!

I agree, would be lovely as a table runner, quilted whole cloth style.

Too big for a purse, what about a tote or laptop bag? I love those medalions.

I also think it would be stunning chopped up OBW or kalieoscope style.

8-)

Wowza! Look at all that beautiful bi-lateral symmetry in the design!
