I'm so happy with how this turned out. I was doing a round for a medallion quilt in our guild and decided to use this new ruler I had bought. I first saw it in my gmail advertisements. I visited the website and decided to give it a try. I think it looks cool!

It's called a Double Diamond Ruler. In the package you get 2 rulers for doing 4.5" and 2.5" borders. You can see them at Bright-Quilting-Notions.com.

The video is really cool there to watch. I love neat tools, so I might just have to get this one. It only goes to where the double diamond is glued all together. Do you then satin stitch it down?

The rulers are very easy to use, and it's simple to make also. As soon as I get them on the medallion, I'll take a picture and post it!

The instructions say you can stitch up through the centers of all the diamonds. I did that with nylon invisible thread, although it is visible in the picture. The other way is to quilt it and secure the diamonds that way.

Hi, I'm Kim, the inventor of the Double Diamond Ruler! This notion is really taking off! I hope you all try it. Just one correction, the rulers in the package make 1-1/2" and 3-1/2" wide diamonds (not 4-1/2"). been trying to get these from my local quilt store and she tells me that they have been on backorder. i am so bummed, i wanted to get started on this monday but it's just not in the cards. really bummed
