I have a book (Encyclopedia of Classic Quilt Patterns, Oxmoor House) that lists this pattern as Star and Crescent, and says it is also known as Four Winds or Alaska Chinook.

I always find it interesting how many names a pattern can go by.

BTW - Congratulations on this fantastic find! I always hope I'll run across something like this, but never do.
