For Christmas I made my 2 quilt buddies note cards out of bits of fabric. I didn't take pictures then, so decided to make some more to have on hand and yes there are pictures!
How about a couple closeups |

I love these! Great idea to use small bits of fabric and time(?). Are the printed strips fabric you printed on the computer or preprints or paper? Love the fabric choices, too.

Oh wow OK, you did a great job! I love the cards :)
|
Very creative cards!! :)

I can see me making these! Thanks for the tip. I was just using up scraps for a crazy quilt sewing machine cover a couple days ago. I guess creative minds think alike. (Or was it all those screaming tiny pieces of fabric?) I have some of those framed picture cards that would be perfect to slip in a piece. Good thinking!

Wonderful idea, love them, I think they make very personal note cards - think they are on my to-do list!

Those are really cute.

Your note cards are really cute and will be so well received. Yesterday I was looking at an e-book by Carol Doak who has fifty paper pieced blocks that can be used for cards. I want to try a few. What a fun way to use up scraps.

those turned out great! I love making fabric postcards for Christmas, thank you's, thinking of you etc. Have made and swapped over 500 of them in the last several years. They are addicting. Best part ... most are made from scraps!

Great idea - thanks for sharing.

These are so nice. Will you tell us how you did the sayings on them? I have done cards similar to these but you muslin words make them so much nicer. Thanks for sharing.
|
Wow, I learn so much here on this board! So how do you do this. just sew the fabric on the card? This is awesome.
|
I am going to have to make some for Christmas cards. Ah, another thing on my list!
|
NEAT Idea!!!! Love it!
I had reason to have a special Thank You card recently and didn't have 'just the right one' so off to the card store I went. THIS type of card would have been PERFECT! I think it's also a great project for when you just want to play with fabric...get something DONE...and move on. Quick and easy! Thanks for posting Nan - Indiana |
